Demon Deacons Secure Three in First Signing Class of Forbes Era

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's basketball program inked three players in the first recruiting class of the Steve Forbes era.
The class consists of three top guards from the United States and England that will add length and scoring to the Deacs' backcourt. This Wake Forest class is ranked No. 23 nationally by 247Sports.
"We have yet to meet each of these fine young men face to face and my staff and I are
extremely grateful to Carter, Cameron, and Robert for their unwavering belief in the future of
our basketball program and the excellence of a world class education at Wake Forest," Head Coach Steve Forbes said. "The loyalty they exhibited to Wake Forest during this pandemic will not be forgotten by me, my staff, or our passionate fanbase."

Carter Whitt | 6'4'' Guard | Leesville Road | Raleigh, N.C.
- Top-ranked point guard in the state of North Carolina according to 247Sports.
- Ranked the No. 10 point guard nationally.
- Ranked the No. 64 player nationally.
- Ranked No. 86 in ESPN's Top 100 recruits.
- Ranked No. 63 in Rivals Top150 nationally.
- Ninth-highest rated recruit in Wake Forest history, during the 247 era.
- Named to the A/B Honor Roll every semester of high school.
- A three-year varsity starter at Leesville Road, Whitt averaged 22.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 8.3 assists as a junior for a squad that finished 21-8 and won the Cap 7 Conference title. He earned first-team All-Cap 7 honors for his performance.
- Named to the All-State team each year of high school at Leesville Road.
- Overall for his career, Whitt was a three-time All-Conference selection and led Leesville Road to the State Quarterfinals twice and to the Cap 7 Conference title twice.
- On track to graduate in December and join the Deacs on campus in January.
- Whitt's father, Scott, is a Wake Forest graduate ('89).

Cameron Hildreth | 6'5'' Guard | Angmering School | Worthing, England
- Top-ranked player in the UK by DENG Camps.
- Four-star player ranked No. 1 in England and No. 89 overall by 247Sports.
- Was a member of the U16 and U18 British National Teams in 2018 and 2019.
- In February, Hildreth garnered All-Tournament Team honors with Barking Abbey at the prestigious Adidas Next Generation Tournament featuring the top European club teams.
- Dominated his own age group in the Academy Basketball League (ABL) with Holy Trinity Storm. His team went undefeated and he earned Southern Conference MVP.
- In Men's NBL Division 1, Hildreth averaged 20.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game in 20 games played with the Worthing Thunder.
- Averaging 33.5 points, 11 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 5.5 steals through two games with the Thunder this season, including a near-quadruple double with 38 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, and seven steals on Nov. 1.
