The Demon Deacons will play at Louisville on Saturday, Nov. 28 and host Miami on Saturday, Dec. 5.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- As announced today by the Atlantic Coast Conference, Wake Forest will flip two of its upcoming contests to help enable other league members to make up game dates lost to pandemic-related cancellations.
Following this Saturday's previously scheduled trip to Duke, the Demon Deacons will now play at Louisville on Saturday, Nov. 28 and host Miami at Truist Field on Saturday, Dec. 5. Wake Forest will conclude its home season with the Duke's Mayo Classic against Notre Dame in Winston-Salem on Saturday, Dec. 12.
"While playing four consecutive road contests is an extremely difficult challenge, we know that options were very limited as we work together as a conference to provide as much of a full season as possible for our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics John Currie. "I am proud of Coach Clawson, his staff and players for hitting another COVID challenge head on as we battle for an upper-division league finish."
Wake Forest will play four-consecutive road games (Oct. 31 at Syracuse; Nov. 14 at North Carolina; Nov. 21 at Duke; Nov. 28 at Louisville) for the first time since 1970, the year the Demon Deacons captured their first ACC football title. Additionally, this is the first time that Wake Forest has ever played four-straight ACC opponents on the road.
Wake Forest's strength of schedule currently sits at No. 18 in the country while the Deacs 27 wins since the start of the 2017 season is tied for the third most overall in the ACC.
