Wake Forest and the Combine

Three Deacs Leave a Lasting Legacy
The Demon Deacons have now sent multiple players to the combine for the past three events, one of just five ACC schools to do so. All three Deac representatives have been key pieces in Wake Forest's four-consecutive bowl seasons.
After a 105-tackle season as a junior, Strnad was on pace to crack the century mark again in 2019 with 69 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss through seven games before his season was cut short.
While at Wake Forest, Herron set a program record with 51 starts in his Demon Deacon career while Bassey finished his career with 50 pass break-ups, the second most of any active FBS player.
The Combine Schedule
Despite only having a portion of the event shown on NFL Network. The Scouting Combine is actually a five-day event with the on-field portion scheduled for the final day in Indianapolis.
Herron was the first to arrive at Lucas Oil Stadium. After landing on Monday, he went through registration, orientation and interviews with organizations. Tuesday, he continued to interview with NFL teams while also getting measured.
Wednesday, Herron will meet with the media, undergo medical and psychological testing. Thursday, Herron and his position group with meet with the NFLPA, conduct team interviews before participating in the bench press.
The following and final day of the Combine takes place on the field as Herron and the rest of the offensive linemen will hit the field on Friday. The entire on-field portion can be seen on NFL Network.
Strnad will take the field on Saturday with Bassey and the defensive backs will round out the event on Sunday.
