Winston-Salem, N.C. -
Wake Forest Athletics honored 17 seniors from the Wake Forest Spirit Program on Saturday, February 29, during halftime of the Notre Dame game. The honorees included nine cheerleaders, seven dance team members and one mascot.

"The senior cheerleaders have left their mark on the cheerleading program," explained head cheerleading coach and spirit program coordinator Bryan Hall. "Graduating nine seniors, many of whom have been on the team all four years, this group has shown their commitment to the team, improved the culture & team dynamic, and given their all in support of Wake Forest Athletics. The spirit program's senior class has experienced four consecutive years of football bowl games and exhibited the team's commitment to great gameday interaction with our fans. This group will be truly missed by the coaching staff and we look forward to seeing them revisit as alumni."

"It has been such a privilege to watch this group of seniors grow and mature into the young women that they are today," said dance team head coach Katelyn King. "They have successfully led their team this year and have been incredible role models for our underclassmen. I can't wait to see what the future holds for them."
