Five Deacs Earn Preseason All-ACC Honors

Athlon Sports and Lindy’s Sports named Boogie Basham, Nasir Greer, Nick Sciba, Sage Surratt and Zach Tom to their preseason All-ACC teams
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – In the release of their annual preseason magazines, Athlon Sports and Lindy's Sports named five Wake Forest football players their All-ACC teams.
Junior kicker Nick Sciba and redshirt junior wide receiver Sage Surratt were chosen as first team selections by both publications. Redshirt senior defensive lineman Carlos "Boogie" Basham also was selected as a first team member by Athlon.
Also earning preseason accolades were junior defensive back Nasir Greer and redshirt junior offensive lineman Zach Tom. Greer was named to the preseason second team by Lindy's Sports and third team by Athlon Sports. Tom was a third team choice by both publications.
After helping lead the Demon Deacons to a record four straight bowl appearances, this core group returns to anchor the 2020 team.
