#ProDeacs Set to Report NFL Training Camps

With NFL training camps across the country set to open on Tuesday, 18 former Wake Forest players look to make their mark on the league.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Players around the NFL are set to report to training camps across the country on Tuesday.
This includes 18 former Demon Deacons including nine members of the 2019 Wake Forest football team. The combined nine draft picks and UDFA signees this offseason marked a program record in the modern draft era.
Both Joe Looney and Kyle Wilber will enter their ninth year in the league this season. Looney, who has played in every game for the Dallas Cowboys the last four seasons, goes into training camp as the presumptive starter at center.
Wilber is set for his third season with the Raiders. Over the previous two seasons, he has played in 28 games, serving as a special teams ace and situational linebacker.
He is one of two former Deacs who will make the move to the Raiders new home in Las Vegas. Marquel Lee, who enters his fourth season with the franchise, will looks to battle for the starting middle linebacker spot. Over his previous three seasons, he has 19 starts in the middle including 10 in 2018.
Las Vegas is one of three teams in the league with multiple Deacs currently on the roster. Denver Broncos have the most with the rookie trio of Essang Bassey, Kendall Hinton and Justin Strnad set for training camp in the Mile High.
