WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest announced the addition of Big South conference member Campbell University as the Demon Deacons 2020 non-conference opponent.
The Deacs are set to host the Camels on Friday, Oct. 9 at Truist Field. This will be the first ever matchup between the two programs.
"We look forward to welcoming Coach Mike Minter and the Fighting Camels to Truist Field," Director of Athletics John Currie said. "I appreciate Campbell AD Omar Banks and our Deputy AD Lindsey Babcock for their partnership and coordination in working through this process."
The game is set to come after the first of the Demon Deacons' two bye weeks and is the only Friday game on the schedule. Campbell will also have a bye before their trip to Winston-Salem and is committed to following the ACC's COVID-19 pre-game testing and screening protocols.
Wake Forest will spend the first seven weeks of the season in the state of North Carolina, including four games at Truist Field.
