WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Redshirt junior wide receiver Jaquarii Roberson was named as one of "15 Players With Big Bowl Games Who Could Break Out in 2021" by Athlon Sports.
He finished the season with his best performance of his career, racking up 131 yards on eight receptions and three touchdowns in the Duke's Mayo Bowl. He had touchdown receptions on his first three targets of the game.
Roberson became the first Wake Forest player since Chris Givens in 2011 to record four consecutive 100-plus yard receiving games, co-owning the record along with Givens and Wayne Baumgardner. He has also had four consecutive games with a touchdown catch.
The Murfreesboro, N.C. native has six consecutive games with six catches or more. He currently leads in the ACC with 102.9 receiving yards per game, becoming just the second player in the league to breach the 100-yard barrier since 2018 (Sage Surratt).
Despite playing in just nine games this season, the Biletnikoff Watch List member ranks third in the league in receiving yards (926) and in total receptions (62) while ranking second in the ACC in touchdowns (8).
Roberson finished in the top 10 in single-season receiving yards, becoming the fourth wide receiver in the past three seasons to finish in the top 10 on the list.
