Roberson and Hartman Named to PFF National Team of the Week

Redshirt sophomore Sam Hartman was also named the national offensive player of the week by the publication.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest redshirt sophomore quarterback Sam Hartman and redshirt junior wide receiver Jaquarii Roberson were named to the Pro Football Focus National Team of the Week after their performances against Army on Saturday.
In addition to being on the team, Hartman was also the national offensive player of the week by the publication, grading out with a 93.5 overall grade and a 93.4 passing grade. Both were the highest of his career.
Hartman had a career day through the air against the Black Knights finishing with a career-high 458 yards on 23-of-29 passing or 19.9 yards per completion. It is the sixth-most passing yards in Wake Forest history and ranks second in the Dave Clawson era, trailing just John Wolford's 461-yard performance against Louisville in 2017.

Additionally, his five passing touchdowns ties the program record and is a career high for Hartman. Riley Skinner (2009), John Wolford (2017) and Jamie Newman (2019) are the only other Demon Deacon quarterbacks to find the endzone five times through the air.
The redshirt sophomore completed 11-of-15 10-plus-yard throws for 382 yards and four touchdowns.
Two such scores went to Roberson, scoring from 75 yards and 41 yards out. He also connected with Hartman for a third touchdown in the fourth quarter from two yards out. The three touchdowns for Roberson tied his career high along with his performance in the 2020 Duke's Mayo Bowl.
With his three scores, Roberson now has 14 career touchdown receptions (13 in the last two seasons) and now is one touchdown reception away from entering the top 10 in program history:

Roberson ended the afternoon with a game-high eight catches and 157 yards receiving, just 10 yards off his career high, set against North Carolina a season ago. He was one of three Wake Forest wide receivers to top 90 yards in the game.
Additionally, this is the third consecutive game Roberson has gone for 100-plus yards. Wake Forest has also had a pair of 100-plus yard receivers in each of their last three games. Over the last 11 games he has played, Roberson has seven 100-plus receiving games and 12 touchdown receptions.
