A look at initiatives and protocols in place at and around the Carrier Dome for Demon Deacon fans traveling to Wake Forest’s second road game of the season.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Wake Forest fans traveling to Syracuse for the team's second road game of the season should be aware of game day initiatives and protocols in place at and around the Carrier Dome. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
Deacon Nation should visit Syracuse's COVID-19 Protocol page for all information prior to Saturday's conference matchup. Additionally, here are FAQs for all those planning to attend.
COVID-19 STADIUM PUBLIC REOPENING PROTOCOL
Syracuse University continues to work closely with the Onondaga County Health Department to implement appropriate public health guidelines for the Syracuse University Stadium. Consistent with indoor facilities guidance, vaccinated and unvaccinated fans are welcome to attend games and events.
In accordance with public health guidelines, for Syracuse University Football Games and other large events hosted in the stadium.
All fans 12 years and older will have to show proof of full vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test to enter the stadium.
Based on current public health guidelines, masks are required for all patrons over the age of four (vaccinated and unvaccinated), while indoors at the stadium and outdoors when in the presence of others for all events.
Children aged 5 to 11, who cannot receive the vaccination, are required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test and must wear a mask.
Newborns to age 4 do not require a vaccination or a test result to enter the facility, nor will they be required to wear a mask.

Testing Requirements
All fans over the age of four will be required to present Proof of Full Vaccination or a Negative COVID-19 test (as defined below) upon entry into the stadium. A valid government issued identification with a photo is required to match COVID documentation.
For Syracuse University football games, fans must visit a pre-screening tent to show proof of vaccination or negative test results to receive a wristband, which is required for entry. Pre-screening tents will be located in the Skytop and Manley parking lots, West lots and on the Quad. These tents will open four hours prior to kickoff. No COVID tests are available onsite.

Proof of Full Vaccination as defined by the State of New York means the day of the event you are attending must be at least 14 days after your second dose of the Pfizer-BioNtech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine or at least 14 days after your single dose of the Johnson & Johnson's Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.

A valid negative COVID-19 test must meet the following conditions:

OPTION 1 – Obtain a negative PCR test from a healthcare provider within 72 hours of entry for the event you are attending

OPTION 2 – Obtain a negative Antigen test from a healthcare provider within 6 hours of entry for the event you are attending

Testing is not available onsite at the stadium. Fans who are not able to provide proof of full vaccination or a valid negative COVID-19 test according to the conditions above will not be allowed to enter the stadium. Over-the-counter test kit results are not accepted.

A printed copy or digital version of proof of full vaccination or negative test results and valid government issued identification with photo must be presented to stadium staff upon entry. Acceptable versions of digital proof displayed on a smart phone include emailed test results and the New York State Excelsior Pass (epass.ny.gov)

All fans attending games are asked to provide their proof of vaccination or proof of negative test at one of five pre-screening locations before entering the Carrier Dome.

Mask Requirements
All students, faculty, staff and visitors are required to follow Syracuse University's campus masking framework. At this time, any individual on campus must wear a mask at all times indoors, except when actively eating or drinking.
Outdoors, individuals must wear masks when in the presence of others. This includes during 'Cuse on the Quad and while tailgating.
Per New York State law, all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, are required by New York State law to wear a mask on public transit (including Syracuse University Shuttles).

Acknowledgement
As a condition of your attendance, all members of your party affirm and agree to abide by all Syracuse University, Onondaga County and New York State screening and health protocols. All members of your party additionally affirm that you do not have any current or recent COVID-19 symptoms (e.g., temperature more than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit), have not had close or proximate contact with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case(s), have not had recent positive COVID-19 test result(s), and are in compliance with the State's travel advisory.
Safety Precautions

Do not attempt to enter the stadium if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, have been in close contact with someone that may have been exposed, or have a temperature exceeding 100.4° F.

For safety and security, the stadium will enforce a Clear Bag Policy. Each fan is allowed one clear bag one small clutch or purse. Fans will be asked to return non-approved bags to their vehicle prior to stadium entry. Please visit the stadium entry/clear bag page for additional information.

Enter the stadium at the designated gate on your ticket. Plan to arrive early to avoid delays and allow additional time to go through the entry validation process.

Hand sanitizer stations are available on the concourse levels.

Dedicated sanitizing staff are assigned to monitor and treat frequently touched surfaces.
Food & Beverage

For safety and efficiency, Syracuse University is transitioning to cashless transactions at food, beverage and merchandise stands. Major credit cards, debit cards and mobile payment (Apple Pay, Android Pay and Google Wallet) are accepted.

ATM's are not available at the stadium.

Guests are permitted to bring a sealed bottle of water; all other outside food and beverage is prohibited. Exceptions will be made for health/special conditions.

Duke (Oct. 30) & NC State (Nov.13) Tickets Information
Wake Forest's penultimate home game of the 2021 season will serve as the Demon Deacons Homecoming and Youth Sports Day. Discounted tickets with a food voucher are available with the pregame festivities including a block party featuring live music, inflatables, games, activities, food trucks, and more! Also, kids are welcome to take the field postgame and there are exclusive video board features for teams and organizations who attend together.

Meanwhile, the Deacons finish up their home schedule on Saturday, Nov. 13 as college football's longest continuously-played rivalry (since 1910) is renewed. The Demon Deacons have downed the Wolfpack in three of the past four years and an exciting atmosphere awaits as Coach Clawson and the football program will honor its seniors that day as well.
