Basham continues to contribute as the regular season enters its final weeks.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Week 15 matchup featured a pair of Pro Deac vs. Pro Deac matchups.
Jessie Bates III and the Bengals topped Justin Strnad, Kendall Hinton and the Broncos, 15-10. Bates III totaled five tackles in the victory while Strnad grabbed a pair of tackles.
John Wolford and the Rams topped Phil Haynes and the Seahawks on Tuesday night, 20-10, in the other Pro Deacs vs. Pro Deac matchup of the weekend.
Boogie Playing Big Role for Bills
Bills rookie defensive lineman Carlos "Boogie" Basham Jr. continues to see an increase in playing time as the season progresses. He was on the field for a season-high 36 defensive plays this weekend.
Basham Jr. finished the afternoon with a career-best 4.0 tackles including 3.0 solo tackles in Buffalo's 31-14 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Chargers Sign Bassey off Waivers
Former Wake Forest and Denver Broncos defensive back Essang Bassey was signed by the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday.
Over the last two seasons, Bassey has played in 13 games, making three starts. During his time in Denver, he totaled 22 tackles, two pass deflections, an interception, three tackles for loss and a fumble recovery.
At Wake Forest, Bassey suited up in 52 games, making 28 starts. He ended his collegiate career with 228 total tackles, five interceptions, a sack, three forced fumbles and 50 pass breakups.
