Gillam Captures Orlando International Amateur

The senior, who was 12-under for the week, captured the victory in a three-way playoff.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Wake Forest men's golf senior Parker Gillam won the Orlando International Amateur Thursday, capturing the title in a three-way playoff.

Gillam finished the week in Florida with a three-round score of 202 (-15) including a final round 68 (-3) to work his way into the playoff.

The Cary, N.C. native got his week off to a fast start by carding a 65 (-7) in the first round of the Orlando International.

This fall Gillam helped the Demon Deacons to the team's victory at the Old Town Club Collegiate. The Deacs captured the Old Town Club Collegiate by 14 strokes, carding a 805 and breaking the previous record by six strokes.

The Deacs ran away with the team title, shooting 273 (-7) and capped off a tournament record 35-under-par performance, breaking the tournament record by five strokes.
