Kyle Holcomb caps off a memorable senior season with Second-Team All-American honors, becoming the 11th Demon Deacon to earn the national distinction under head coach Bobby Muuss.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Wake Forest men's soccer senior Kyle Holcomb has been named a 2021 United Soccer Coaches Second-Team All-American, the organization announced on Thursday.
Holcomb becomes the 11th Demon Deacon to earn All-American recognition under head coach Bobby Musss and the 39th All-American in program history. This also marks the second-straight year Wake Forest has had a Second-Team All-American, as Holcomb joins Isaiah Parente in receiving the distinction.
The San Marcos, Calif., native wrapped up an accolade-filled career with 28 points and 12 goals during his senior season along with a career-high four assists.
His 12 goals were the most by a Demon Deacon since Omir Fernandez also scored 12 during the 2018 season as Wake Forest was 10-1-0 when he found the back of the net this year.
Along with earning All-American honors, Holcomb was named First-Team All-South Region and First-Team All-ACC.
Holcomb ranks No. 7 in program history in career goals (33) and No. 9 in career points (74).
