Wake Forest Set to Play North Carolina in the ACC Tournament

The Demon Deacons will be the No. 9 seed with the winner of Thursday's first round game set to play Louisville on Friday.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's basketball team will be the No. 9 seed in the ACC Tournament, as announced by the league office Sunday night.
Come support your Demon Deacons (11-11, 8-10 ACC) as they are set to play No. 8 seed North Carolina (13-9, 7-9 ACC) in the second round Thursday at Noon (ET) in Greensboro. ACC Tournament tickets are set to go on sale Monday at 10 a.m.
This marks the second straight season Wake Forest will open their ACC Tournament against the Tar Heels. In 2020, the Deacs captured an 83-73 victory to help spark their run to the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals.
The winner of the game will face No. 1 seed Louisville (21-2, 14-2 ACC) at Noon on Friday.
Both games will be broadcasted on RSN.

ACC TOURNAMENT IN GREENSBORO
Postseason play is here. Come make the short drive over to Greensboro for the annual ACC Tournament and support your Wake Forest women's basketball team.
Hosted at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, the tournament will run through the championship game set for noon (ET) on March 7.
Purchase your tickets today and come cheer on the Deacs in Greensboro starting Monday at 10 a.m.

- Gina Conti came up clutch, knocking down a game-tying three pointer with three seconds left on Feb. 23 to send the game to overtime. There the Deacs took over, scoring on the opening possession and holding the advantage the rest of the way. Ivana Raca finished with a game-high 21 points.
- Since 2016, Wake Forest holds a record of 5-3 against the Tar Heels, this includes a 3-1 record in the last four meetings against North Carolina.
- This will mark the 11th neutral site game all-time between the two in-state rivals. The Tar Heels hold an 8-2 edge in those games.
