White, Lynch Earn First Place Finishes on Day 1 of Tobacco Road Challenge

DURHAM, N.C. -- After weather cut action short, Wake Forest closed out day one of the Tobacco Road Challenge with two first place finishes and seven top-10 marks in school history on Friday at Morris Williams Stadium. On the first day of the competition, juniors Andrew White and Janese Lynch earned first place honors in throws.
The Canton, Oh. native recorded the fourth all-time discus throw in Wake Forest history with a toss of 54.71m, placing him first in the event. Additionally in the women's side, redshirt junior Janese Lynch also placed first with a throw of 43.19m, which is a season best and personal best.
