Turconi Tabbed as ACC Player of the Week

The shortstop hit three home runs and drove in all six runs in Wake Forest's 6-1 victory over Pitt on Thursday.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Michael Turconi was tabbed as the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week for the first time of his career on Monday afternoon.
Turconi led Wake Forest at the plate during a closing 3-1 week, batting .471 with eight hits, one double, three home runs, six runs scored and seven RBIs. He posted a slugging percentage of 1.059 and an on-base percentage of .500.
In the Demon Deacons' series finale sweep of Pitt, Turconi batted .500 with seven hits, three home runs and seven RBIs.
The Beaver Falls, Pa. native tallied career highs in home runs and RBIs in Thursday night's 6-1 win over the Panthers, launching a trio of two-run home runs in the first, fifth and seventh frames to bring home all six Demon Deacon runs. The sophomore became the first Wake player to hit three home runs in a game since Ben Breazeale at High Point on March 14, 2017.
Additionally, his six RBI tied for the most in a game this season by a Demon Deacon.
