WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest Men's Tennis team has been selected to host the NCAA Division I Championship matches at Wake Forest Tennis Center for the opening two rounds of the tournament.

The Demon Deacons (28-6, 11-1 ACC) are the No. 10 seed in the 64-team field and are hosting first and second-round matches for the sixth year in a row. It is the Deacons' 20th overall appearance in the NCAA tournament.

"The Wake Forest's Leighton Courts are known throughout the collegiate tennis world as a premier NCAA venue and we are proud that Coach Bresky and his squad have once again earned the opportunity to host postseason action right here in Winston-Salem," director of athletics John Currie said. "Winston-Salem's vibrant tennis scene will help provide a championship atmosphere for all student-athletes competing and a true home-court advantage for the Demon Deacons. The Best Fan Experience in North Carolina includes the opportunity for visiting teams and fans to enjoy our outstanding local hotels, restaurants and shops."

"It is always an honor and luxury to host the first couple of rounds of the NCAA tournament," head coach Tony Bresky said. "We have had great success when we host on our own courts and play in front of our amazing fans. Hard work and effort throughout the season has given us this opportunity to host. We are ready to go for NCAAs."

A limited number of tickets will be sold for the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship first and second round matches on May 7-8. Tickets are $10 for Leighton Courts at Wake Forest Tennis Center and will go on sale on Wednesday, May 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Godeacs.com/Tickets. If matches are moved indoors, capacity will be limited to student-athletes' families only due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
