Facioni Closes Out NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Junior Zach Facioni wrapped up his time at the NCAA Championships on Friday night.
Facioni raced to a 13:58.26 time that placed him 23rd in the field. The effort capped off Facioni's tremendous season for the Demon Deacons.

The 5000-meter final caps off a terrific 2021 campaign for Facioni, a sixth-month stretch that saw him:

The 5000-meter final caps off a terrific 2021 campaign for Facioni, a sixth-month stretch that saw him:
- Earn his second silver medal at the ACC Outdoor Championships.
- Set the school record in the outdoor 1500-meter (3:39.87) and 5000-meter (13:30.84).
- Rank No. 16 in the nation in the 5000-meter event.
- Place top-5 in five meets, including a first-place finish at the Virginia Challenge (5000-meter 13:35.33).
