Kyle Holcomb Named College Soccer News Preseason All-America Third-Team Selection

The honor is the San Marcos, Calif., native’s second of the week as he was also named to the 2021 ACC Preseason Watch List.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest men's soccer senior Kyle Holcomb has been named a College Soccer News Preseason All-America Third-Team selection heading into the 2021 season.
The honor is Holcomb's second of the week, as he was also named to the 2021 ACC Preseason Watch List earlier this week.
During his junior campaign, Holcomb collected numerous honors as he was named the team's Most Valuable Player along with being selected Third-Team All-ACC and to TopDrawerSoccer's Best XI Third Team.
He led the team in points (20), goals (nine) and game-winning goals (four).
The San Marcos, Calif., native, ended his junior year with the Demon Deacons by scoring three goals during the 2020 NCAA Men's Soccer Championship. He enters his senior season ranked tied for 17th in program history in career goals (21) and tied for 29th in career points (46).
Wake Forest begins the 2021 season next Thursday facing VCU at Spry Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
