
Wake Forest Men’s Cross Country Squad Featured in Preseason National Top 15

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest's men's cross country team enters the 2021 campaign ranked 15th in the Preseason National Coaches' Poll that was released by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday afternoon.
The Demon Deacons go into the 2021 season as the second highest-ranked ACC squad. The rankings come after Wake Forest men's squad captured the highest finish since 1996, placing 15th at the 2020 NCAA Cross Country Championships. The result marked Wake Forest's 10th appearance at the NCAA Championships.
Six of the Deacs' seven NCAA participants return to the 2021 squad. In 2020, Zach Facioni led the way for Wake Forest's men, crossing the finish line 27th to gain All-American honors.
The men's team also welcomes Thomas Vanoppen, Ryanrd Swanepoel and Justin Robison to the roster to help bolster a strong lineup.
