The 29-game schedule is headlined by 18 home contests at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, including nine against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest women's basketball team announced its 2021-22 schedule Wednesday night on ACC Network.

The 29-game schedule is headlined by 18 home contests at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum,  including nine against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents.

"It is always exciting to announce the schedule for the upcoming season because that means we are one step closer to the start of the new year," head coach Jen Hoover said. "I am excited to see what this group can accomplish this year knowing we have a talented group of young women with many of them getting a taste of the NCAA Tournament and are eager to build off that experience. Finally after having a year away from LJVM, we are happy to welcome back the best fans in the country, Deacon Nation, home to cheer us on this season."

Before a four-game homestand at LJVM Coliseum, the Demon Deacons are set to open the regular season at Mercer on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

Two other featured games during the non-conference slate come in the month of December. Wake Forest will face Nebraska in the ACC/BIG Ten Challenge game on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.

The annual School Day Game is set against East Tennessee State on Monday, Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. at LJVM Coliseum.

In total, the Deacs will have nine non-conference home games before the start of the ACC play in December. Wake Forest opens conference play on the road against Georgia Tech on ACC Network. It is the third of 10 Demon Deacon games that will be played either on ACC Network or on RSN.

The home conference opener is scheduled for Dec. 30 when Wake Forest is set to face Florida State.
