Sciba Tabbed ACC Specialist of the Week

The junior kicker is again recognized following a historic week 4 performance .
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Wake Forest football junior kicker Nick Sciba was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Specialist of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Sciba earns the second ACC Specialist of the Week honor of his career following a memorable night in Wake Forest's 37-17 win at Virginia on Friday night as the All-American etched his name in the Wake Forest and NCAA record books.
The Clover, S.C. native went a perfect three-of-three on field goals while adding four extra points, increasing his career field goal percentage to a NCAA-record mark of 90.1 (64-of-71). Additionally, Sciba has now converted on a FBS-best 19-straight field goal attempts.
Sciba now holds the program record in points with 338, passing Wake Forest Sports Hall of Famer Sam Swank with his third field goal of the game in the fourth quarter.
Sciba was also named a "Star of the Week" by the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award for the third time of his career.
Sciba's accolade marks the third Demon Deacon to garner ACC weekly after senior defensive back Ja'Sir Taylor (Specialist of the Week) and freshman defensive lineman Jasheen Davis (Co-Rookie of the Week) earned honors following Wake Forest's season-opening win.
The Deacs will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 2 against Louisville at 12:30 p.m. on ACC Regional Sports Network. The Demon Deacons and the Cardinals have split the last four contests with Wake Forest coming out on top in the 2017 and 2018 matchups. Over the last five games, the winning team has scored at least 42 points.
