WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest football team returns to Truist Field as the Demon Deacons welcome Louisville for their third ACC matchup of the season on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 12:30 p.m. on the provider's Regional Sports Networks.
Saturday marks the ninth meeting between both programs as the teams have split the last four matchups. Wake Forest has scored 30-plus points in three out of their last four wins against Louisville.
The Demon Deacon defense has forced a total of 11 turnovers this season, ranking them fifth in the nation. Wake Forest's defense also ranks in the Top-25 in scoring defense (9th, 14.2 PPG), red zone defense (5th, .545), TFL/G (7th, 8.5) and turnover margin (4th, +1.75 per game).
Additionally, Wake Forest is one of four teams in the nation to not allow a rushing touchdown through the opening four weeks of the season (Clemson, Georgia and San Diego State).
Individually, Nick Sciba is on his way to becoming the most accurate kicker in NCAA history. During his time at Wake Forest, he is 64-of-71 (.901), the best mark for any kicker in NCAA and ACC history (min. 50 att). Additionally, Sciba holds the school record with 338 points for his career, breaking the school record on his final kick of the Virginia game on Friday. He also is tied for 14th in ACC history in points.
For his historic night in Charlottesville, Sciba was named the ACC Specialist of the Week for the second time of his career. Sciba's accolade marked the third Demon Deacon this season to receive conference weekly honors, joining Ja'Sir Taylor (ACC Specialist of the Week) and Jasheen Davis (ACC Rookie of the Week).
