Seven #ProDeacs are playoff bound and set to play during Wildcard Weekend.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Week 18 featured a pair of Pro Deac vs. Pro Deac matchups as the Los Angeles Chargers took on the Las Vegas Raiders and the Arizona Cardinals played the Seattle Seahawks.
Phil Haynes made his second consecutive start at guard for the Seahawks as he and Seattle topped Greg Dortch and the playoff-bound Cardinals, 38-30. Haynes, a third-year pro, finished the season playing in six games, all coming in week 12 and beyond.
Dortch continued to see an increase in the offense during the final week of the regular season, hauling in a pair of catches while also returning one kickoff for 14 yards.
In a game that determined the final spot in the NFL Playoffs, Marquel Lee, Kyle Wilber and the Raiders topped Essang Bassey and the Chargers on Sunday Night Football, 35-32, in overtime. This will be the first time since being with the franchise that Lee and Wilber will make the playoffs. Lee was drafted by the Raiders in 2017 and Wilber first signed with the Raiders the following season in 2018.
Bachman Sees Role Increase in Final Regular Season Game
In his third game active for the New York Giants this season, Alex Bachman saw an increased role as New York fell in the regular season finale, 22-7, to the Washington Football Team.
Bachman, who also had 25 plays on offense including one rushing attempt, played a large role in the return game for the franchise on Sunday. The third-year veteran returned four kickoffs for 94 yards and a punt return for 16 yards, finishing the game with 110 total return yards.
Basham Records Third Game with a Sack
In the final regular season week of his rookie season, Carlos "Boogie" Basham Jr. helped the Buffalo Bills clinch the AFC East title for the second consecutive year. A second quarter sack by Basham helped set the tone going into halftime as the Bills topped the Jets, 27-10, Sunday afternoon. In total, Basham was on the field for 17 defensive snaps in the game.
He finished his first regular season with 2.5 sacks, 4.0 tackles for loss and 18 total tackles in eight games played for the franchise.
Basham is one of seven playoff bound #ProDeacs and is set to face former teammate in Patriots offensive lineman Justin Herron in the Wildcard Round on Saturday.
