WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest Athletics is committed to providing The Best Fan Experience in North Carolina inside all of its venues while ensuring that all fans have a great time in a healthy and safe environment. Wake Forest University has several gameday strategies, and health and safety protocols in place to ensure all fans have a great experience at Truist Field. 

Truist Field at Wake Forest is set to host its fifth sellout crowd in six games dating back to last season on Saturday, Oct. 8 versus Army. Tickets are still available on Stubhub, the official ticket marketplace of the Demon Deacons. 

Family Weekend
Wake Forest's marquee group outing of the year is set for this upcoming weekend as Athletics will welcome thousands of friends and family to campus for the annual Family Weekend event at Wake Forest.

  • Parking Information

    • In preparation for Family Weekend events on campus, Transportation & Parking Services would like to share the following information regarding available parking. 

      • Thursday, October 6th

        • Parking Lot W2 will be reserved for event parking until 2:00 p.m.

      • Friday, October 7th

        • Parking Lot W1 will have spaces reserved all-day

      • Faculty/Staff Parking Options:

        • We recommend using Parking Lots P, Wake Forest Road, or Lot Q for parking.

Military Appreciation Day
Saturday will also serve as our annual Military Appreciation Day where Wake Forest will honor Military members in attendance throughout the game.

  • Pregame Flyover

    • 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. 

    • 7:15 pm

    • 4 helicopters

  • Local enlistee swearing in ceremony

    • Between the first and second quarters

    • Ceremony conducted by Major General Brian Mennes

    • 15 local enlistees will officially be sworn in to the US Army

  • Military vehicles will be displayed in various areas around Truist Field for fans to interact with

Parking

  • Pre-purchase parking at 3730 University Parkway here

  • 2400 Reynolda Road (Free)

  • Shuttles will provide transportation to and from lots at no additional cost and is the only guaranteed same-day parking option. They will drop off and pick up at the LJVM lots

  • Midway and Senior Services lots are closed due to the fair and all lots at Truist Field and LJVM are sold out and will not be available to purchase on game day.

Gameday Grub: Innovative & Delicious Truist Food Options Await Fans at Truist Field

Fans inside Truist Field throughout the entire 2022 football season can enjoy eight new food options inside and around the concourse. These locations include a wide variety of options from barbecue and fried chicken, to Cuban and Jamaican.

Friday Night and Halftime Fireworks
Join Wake Forest Athletics for its traditional firework show before every Demon Deacon home football game. The five-minute show will begin following the field hockey team's nationally-ranked matchup against Louisville inside Kentner Stadium at approximately 8 p.m. on Friday at the Athletics throws field behind McCreary Field House. 

Additionally,  a firework display will begin at the Carolina Classic Fair at halftime of the Saturday night showdown with the Black Knights.

Open the Gate - Major General Brian Mennes

  • The Wake Forest Demon Deacons will be led out onto the field this Saturday, Oct. 8, by Major General Brian Mennes against Army West Point which is set for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at Truist Field. 

  • The Amherst, N.Y. native graduated from West Point and was commissioned an infantry officer in 1988. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the United States Military Academy and a Master of Military Art and Science degree from the Command and General Staff College. 

  • He has served in multiple different command and staff positions in the Ranger Regiment, the Joint Special Operations Command, 7th and 2nd Infantry Divisions, the 82nd Airborne Division, U.S. Army Cadet Command, and the Department of the Army Staff as the Director of Force Management for the Headquarters Department of the Army G-3/5/7.

  • Major General Mennes' overseas tours and deployments include the Sinai Desert and Korea, as well as multiple operational deployments to Panama, Afghanistan and Iraq. 

  • Today, he resides in Fort Bragg, N.C., where he serves as the Deputy Commanding General of the 18th Airborne Corps. He is a proud father of Ashley, Haley and Jake. He and his wife, Katie, are fans of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres.

    • Truist Field State-of-the-Art Cellular Technology is back

      • Wake Forest Athletics has partnered with Verizon for a Distributed Antenna System to provide improved cellular connectivity inside Truist Field, including the seating bowl, concourses, and throughout McCreary Tower and Bridger Field House. Verizon has installed similar systems at various professional and college venues to create additional capacity when many fans are accessing the wireless network at peak times.

      • New in 2021 and back in 2022, fans will see a dramatic upgrade on how they can share all their game day or event experiences socially in real time, and stay connected through all of their wireless devices, as Wake Forest Athletics has begun installing equipment to be ready for this fall.

Looking for an all-inclusive, turnkey tailgate experience before a Deacs home game? Don't feel like organizing and lugging all your tailgate accessories across the parking lot on gameday? Exclusive tailgate packages are available and can be reserved now. 

    • The gameday REVELxp spots are located directly in front of McCreary Tower and provides easy access to Gate One. Tailgate packages start at $375 and can include a TV with Dish Satellite, tents, tables, chairs, coolers, ice, and everything you need to enjoy your gameday in DEACTOWN. Full service catering packages are also available and feature a variety of local food and beverage options.

  • Best Fan Experience in North Carolina: Enhanced Opportunities Await Wake Forest Students on Football Gamedays

    • After record-breaking student crowds and support in 2021, Wake Forest Athletics is excited to announce student enhancements for the upcoming 2022 football season.

    • Student Section Seating

      • Because of our students' outstanding dedication and commitment to our football program, Wake Forest University students will now be moved closer to the action. Student section seating has now moved from the upper section of 17 to the lower section of 17. Student Section seating now includes all of section 20, 19, 18 and the lower section of 17.

    • Gameday Shuttle Pick Up and Drop Off

      • Wake Forest Athletics is proud to provide complimentary transportation for every home game to ensure all students have a safe and easy option to get from campus to Truist Field. 

      • The pick up and drop location is located in lot P, directly behind Wait Chapel. Shuttles run continuously beginning three hours before kickoff and one hour after the game concludes. The pickup and drop off location at Truist Field is located behind the Wake Forest indoor tennis center on Shorefair Drive. 

    • Rideshare Program

      • Students electing to ride share with Uber or Lyft will need to instruct their drivers to the appropriate pick up and drop off locations. The appropriate rideshare location at Truist Field is the Green Lot outside of the Indoor Tennis Center (ITC). When using a rideshare service on gameday please enter the following address: 100 W 32nd St Winston-Salem, NC 27105. This is the address of the Indoor Tennis Center and will get you where you need to be faster. 

      • Rideshare vehicles should enter the parking lot from 32nd street, drop off in front of the indoor tennis facility and exit the parking lot onto Shorefair Drive.

    • Screamin' Demon Rewards

      • Screamin' Demon Rewards is the FREE student program that rewards attendance at Wake Forest athletic and additional campus events. Download in the app store here.

      • To claim tickets for an event, simply click on the event you wish to attend from the "Events" tab, and select "Claim Ticket". For Football, tickets will be available to claim at 12 pm, 5 days prior to kickoff. For all other sports, ticket claims will be available 48 hours before the event start time.

    • DEACTOWN Student Tailgate

      • The free DEACTOWN Student Tailgate is BACK. This revamped space behind the East stands of Truist Field was developed in partnership with student leaders, members of the Wake Forest faculty, the Wake Forest Office of Student Life, Wake Forest Office of Diversity and Inclusion, University Advancement, and the Office of Alumni Engagement. The space will open for students three hours prior to kickoff, where they will enjoy an elevated tailgate experience featuring a stage with live music and a large video screen to watch games from around the country. Additionally, free food opportunities will be available from local food trucks for students while supplies last, while additional food will be available for purchase. 

      • The new area provides a dynamic outdoor club atmosphere for Wake Forest students and their guests. A variety of new seating and eating areas, games surrounding the stage and video screen will provide opportunities for relaxation and engagement for all.

  • Wake Forest Football 2022 Season T-Shirt Now on Sale!

    • Purchase the official shirt of the 2022 Wake Forest football season! In collaboration with campus and our football program, Wake Forest Athletics has developed the first-ever season t-shirt for purchase.

    • The 2022 season t-shirt can be purchased here, or by visiting any of our Deacon Shop locations on campus, at Hanes Mall or on game days. Be sure to get your black season t-shirt in preparation for the wear black games against Clemson (Sept. 24) and North Carolina (Nov. 12).

Fans needing assistance can also visit the  Wake Forest Athletics gameday information website. The gameday page is the hub of all fan information pertaining to gameday policies and procedures for Truist Field.
