WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Thanks to a innovative collaboration of Wake Forest Athletics, Winston-Salem's HanesBrands®, Inc. and The Brandr Group, the Deacon Shop operated by Follett is now offering Demon Deacons women's basketball, men's basketball, and football co-branded 'shirseys' with a specific student-athletes' number and last name. These are the first official co-branded products launched via the Wake Forest Athletics group licensing collaboration with The Brandr Group, announced Sept. 6.
Fans can purchase the shirsey of their favorite current Demon Deacons student-athlete online from the Deacon Shop's website. All Wake Forest student-athletes who have opted into this voluntary program with The Brandr Group receive a royalty payment when their shirsey is sold. While women's and men's basketball and football are the first Demon Deacons programs launched by the Deacon Shop operated by Follett, products for other Wake Forest teams are already well underway and should be available soon. Stay tuned to GoDeacs.com and each program's social media platforms for announcements when those are available.
"This is a fun way for Wake Forest fans to show their support of their favorite Demon Deacons in a way that also directly benefits participating student-athletes," said athletics director John Currie.
