RALEIGH, N.C. - The No. 19 Deacs head out on the road for a Big Four showdown on Saturday, Nov. 5 against No. 20 NC State at 8:00 p.m. on ACC Network.
With a win against No. 16 NC State at Truist Field last season, Wake Forest has now won four of the last five games against the Wolfpack.
Additionally, three of those wins during the last five have come against a ranked NC State team including the 2018 game in Raleigh when the Wolfpack was No. 22 in the country.
After scoring 44 points in Week 1 vs. VMI, 45 points in Week 2 at Vanderbilt, 37 points in Week 3 vs. Liberty, 45 points in Week 4 vs. Clemson, 31 points in Week 5 at Florida State, 45 points in Week 6 vs. Army, 43 points in Week 8 vs. Boston College and 21 points in Week 9 vs. Louisville, Wake Forest's 311 total points is on pace to potentially break the single season scoring record set last season (574).
Another key part of the Demon Deacons success during the seven-year bowl eligible streak has been the fact that they have had a low number of penalties over those seven years.
This season is no different as Wake Forest ranks in the top 10 nationally in fewest penalties, fewest penalties per game and penalty yards per game. The Deacs lead the ACC in all three categories.
