WINSTON-SALEM, N.C - One of the most decorated football players in Wake Forest history, Nick Sciba etched his name into the Wake Forest, Atlantic Coast Conference and NCAA record books over his four years with the Deacs.

Sciba made an immediate impact during his first year in Winston-Salem. He converted 19-of-22 field goals, including making his last 11 attempts. His 19 field goal conversions broke the program record for field goals in a single season by a true freshman. He also became the first freshman to log a 100-point season in school history, with 107 points.

He continued to shine in his sophomore campaign, connecting on 24-of-25 field goal attempts. His accuracy mark of .940 is still the most accurate season a Wake Forest kicker has ever had. Sciba broke an NCAA, ACC, and Wake Forest record when he made 34 consecutive field goals from October 2018 to November 2019. Sciba scored 119 points, setting a program record for points in a single season. He also became the first Demon Deacon to record two 100-point seasons. Sciba was named an ESPN First Team All-American, second team All-American by FWAA, Sports Illustrated, and Phil Steele, and third team All-American by Athlon and the Associated Press. The sophomore was also named first team All-ACC honoree, a Lou Garza Award semifinalist, and PFF College ACC Kicker of the Year.

Sciba earned multiple preseason accolades prior to his junior season in 2020. He was named ESPN way-to-early preseason All-American, preseason first team All-American by Lindy's Sports, preseason second team All-American by Athlon, Sporting News, and Street & Smith. Sciba was also a unanimous preseason first team All-ACC selection. The Clover, S.C. native connected on 82 percent of his field goals while going a perfect 31-for-31 on extra points two years ago. Honored with a Lou Groza Star of the Week for his performance vs Virginia, which included four field goals and four extra points.

Sciba was named a preseason first team All-ACC honoree by Lindy's sports, Athlon, and PFF prior to his final season in Winston-Salem. He was also named to the All-ACC preseason team which is chosen by coaches and media. In a road win over Virginia, Sciba passed Sam Swank to become Wake Forest's all-time leading scorer. He would go on to end his career with 433 points. On his 22nd birthday, Sciba nailed a 22-yard field goal with 22 seconds on the clock to beat Louisville. At the halfway point of the season, Sciba was unanimous midseason All-American. Sciba ended his Wake Forest career with a staggering 89.9 field goal percentage (80-for-89), setting a new NCAA record and becoming the second most accurate kicker in NCAA history. The senior ends his career as the most accurate kicker in ACC history. Sciba was named to the All-ACC first team at the end of the 2021 season.

It is safe to say that Nick Sciba has left an indelible mark on the Wake Forest football program.
