
Tony da Luz Announces 2022 Spring Schedule

The Demon Deacons will compete in two home, two road and one neutral matches against four ACC and one SEC opponents.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest women's soccer has announced its 2022 spring schedule which includes five matches.
"The spring season is all about player development, so I have put together a challenging schedule to bring the best out of our young players. I am excited to see how our players grow this Spring." said head coach Tony da Luz.
Wake Forest will open the spring against in-state rival North Carolina on Friday, Feb. 18 at Bryan Park in Greensboro, N.C. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
Wake Forest will face another Big Four rival NC State on Saturday, February 26 in Spry Stadium at 2:00 p.m. The spring will continue with a road match at Clemson, on Thursday, March 19.
The last home match will feature Duke on March 31st at 7:00 p.m. with the spring season concluding on Sunday, April 10 at South Carolina. First kick is set for 3:00 p.m.
During the 2021 campaign, Wake Forest appeared in its 21st overall NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, reaching the second round for the 15th time. The Deacs recorded 12 shutouts last season, tying the most since 2017 and limited opponents to a combined 17 goals, a new program record for the fewest goals allowed in a single season.
The Demon Deacons return 27 players from last year's squad along with one mid-year enrollee Baylor Goldthwaite from Durham, NC.
