Jonathan Lagos Named Assistant Coach at UNC Greensboro

Lagos spent three seasons in Winston-Salem, as the Demon Deacons made three Sweet Sixteen appearances and a trip to the 2019 College Cup.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Wake Forest men's soccer volunteer assistant coach Jonathan Lagos has been named an assistant coach for UNC Greensboro men's soccer ahead of the 2022 season, the school announced on Tuesday.
"I want to extend my congratulations to Jon on earning this opportunity to join the UNCG coaching staff," said head coach Bobby Muuss. "He was instrumental in our success during his time at Wake Forest, highlighted by a trip to the 2019 College Cup in his first season and helping in the development of 12 professionals. I look forward to following his career and seeing him apply his passion for the student-athlete experience and college soccer."
Lagos spent three seasons with the Demon Deacons, as Wake Forest collected a combined record of 42-15-5 and three trips to the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship Sweet Sixteen.
Twelve Demon Deacons also received professional contracts including Canadian National Team defender Alistair Johnston and Homegrown signings Machop Chol, Isaiah Parente and Nico Benalacazar.
