The Deacs are looking to make the tournament for a sixth year in a row.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest women's tennis will have its full attention on Monday evening (May 2), when the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Selection Show streams at 6:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.
A link to the show will be on the front page of NCAA.com.
The Demon Deacons are seeking their 22nd NCAA tournament appearance in program history and sixth consecutive. Last spring, the team advanced to the Round of 32, suffering a 4-1 defeat by the host, Georgia.
Recently, in the 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Tennis Championships, the Deacs surged past its first matchup for the sixth straight year before falling to No. 5 Duke in the quarterfinal round.
For the past three weeks, Wake Forest has steadily remained in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Top-25 poll, currently ranked 24th in the country.
The Deacs also have two strong pairings of Anna Brylin/Brooke Killingsworth and Samantha Martinelli/Casie Wooten in doubles action, as the duos stand at No. 6 and No. 29 in the ITA, respectively.
Again playing out of the top singles spot, Carolyn Campana remains Wake Forest's highest ranked individual (No. 35).
Earlier this month, on April 10, head coach Jeff Wyshner collected the 150th team victory of his Deacon career.
