Alondes Williams and Jake LaRavia Invited to the 2022 NBA Draft Combine

The two All-ACC selections will showcase their skills during next week’s NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.
CHICAGO -- Wake Forest men's basketball standouts Alondes Williams and Jake LaRavia have been invited to the 2022 NBA Draft Combine, which will take place May 16-22 in Chicago, Illinois.
The two are amongst 76 invitees for the showcase event for all 30 NBA teams ahead of the 2022 NBA Draft, scheduled to be held on June 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
In his lone season with the Demon Deacons, Williams became Wake Forest's first Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Year selection since Josh Howard in 2002-03, as the Milwaukee native averaged 18.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. In addition to being a first-team All-ACC selection, he also garnered national recognition from the US Basketball Writers Association (Honorable Mention All-American, District III Player of the Year); the National Association of Basketball Coaches (All-District - District Two); and the Associated Press (AP All-ACC First Team, AP ACC Player of the Year).
Williams' 2021-22 performance also ranks him top-10 in program history in single season points (649) and field goals made (242), along with ranking 11th all-time in assists (181).
LaRavia, meanwhile, was an All-ACC second-team pick, averaging 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game during the 2021-22 campaign. Defensively, his 55 steals on the season is tied for the 15th-most in a single season throughout school history.
The Indianapolis native won ACC Player of the Week honors twice and became the 55th player at Wake Forest to reach the 1,000-point mark, a feat set on Feb. 26 in a home win over Louisville.
