Hartman, Perry Garner ACC Weekly Awards

Hartman threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns in his season debut while Perry caught five balls for 142 yards, including a 68-yard score.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Redshirt junior wide receiver A.T. Perry and redshirt junior quarterback Sam Hartman were named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wide Receiver of the Week and Quarterback of the Week for their key contributions in the Demon Deacons' Week 2 victory at Vanderbilt, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Hartman, who is one of five returning finalists for the Manning Award last year, finished the game 18-27 passing for an even 300 yards and four passing touchdowns. He found four different receivers for scores, including a 68-yard pass to Perry. 
Following his performance on Saturday, the Charlotte native moved within 196 yards of Riley Skinner for most passing yards in school history.

Additionally, his 312 total yards against Vanderbilt made him the first player in Wake Forest history with over 10,000 combined yards with 10,304. 

Biletnikoff Award and Maxwell Award Watch List honoree finished Saturday with five catches for 142 yards including a 68-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter from Hartman.

With his 7-yard reception in the second quarter, Perry extended his consecutive games with a catch streak to 23 games. That total ranks tied for 16th in the nation entering all of Week 2 games.

Perry recorded his 18th-career touchdown reception in the first quarter on Saturday. That total ranks eighth in program history and that total gives him sole possession of first place among wideouts in the Dave Clawson era.
