WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 18 Wake Forest football team returns to Truist Field for a Homecoming matchup against Liberty on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 5 p.m. on ACC Network.
Wake Forest is 2-0 over Liberty all-time. The last meeting between the Deacs and Flames was a 20-17 victory for the Demon Deacons in Winston-Salem in the 2012 season opener.
After scoring 44 points in Week 1 vs. VMI and 45 points in Week 2 at Vanderbilt, Wake Forest's 89 total points ranks as the third-highest mark in program history through two games. Overall, since the start of the 2019 season, Wake Forest has scored 40-plus points in 18 of its 38 games (47.4 percent).
Wake Forest has now started the season 2-0 or better for the sixth time in the last seven years. During that six-year span, the Demon Deacons have made a bowl game every season.
