A.T. Perry hauled in his first-career reception and touchdown against the Vikings.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- Week 10 of the NFL season saw a certain rookie out of Wake Forest make his mark and two more Demon Deacons go head-to-head. Here is how our #ProDeacs performed during the slate of week 10 matchups.
A.T. Perry Makes His Mark
Saints rookie wide receiver A.T. Perry had a breakout performance against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday afternoon. The sixth-round pick hauled in his first career reception with just over three minutes remaining in the first quarter as New Orleans quarterback Derek Carr found him over the middle for a 23-yard gain, which set up a field goal to get the Saints on the board.
His first career touchdown came at the 11:40 mark in the fourth quarter, as Jameis Winston threw a jump ball into the end zone before Perry ripped it away from Byron Murphy to make it a one-score game. He finished this game with two catches for 38 yards.
Battle of the Birds
Jessie Bates III and the Atlanta Falcons went head-to-head with Greg Dortch's Arizona Cardinals Sunday afternoon. Bates III tied a career-high with 13 total tackles, with the other instance coming when he was playing for the Bengals against the Dolphins on Dec. 6, 2020. His 11 solo tackles is also a career-high. He is now tied for first on the team with 73 tackles (Kaden Elliss). He also still leads the team with three interceptions and two forced fumbles. His 73 tackles also rank third among safeties, trailing only Minnesota's Camryn Bynum (83) and Washington's Kamren Curl (81).
On the other end, Dortch returned two punts for 56 total yards, including a 49-yard return to the Atlanta 21-yard line to set up Arizona's three-play scoring drive to take a 22-17 lead with 19 seconds to go in the third quarter. The Cardinals defeated the Falcons, 25-23.
