Enhancements to Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum Await Fans for the 2023-24 Season

11/3/2023 5:18:00 PM | Men's Basketball

In the continued effort to ensure all fans at LJVM have the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina, new initiatives are in place for this season.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Thanks to the leadership of Coach Steve Forbes and his staff, along with talented play on the court by Wake Forest's student-athletes, the Demon Deacons are an astounding 31-5 at home inside Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum since the start of the 2021-22 season. Additionally, the Deacs have been fueled by tremendous and passionate crowds.

In the continued effort to ensure Wake Forest is providing a World Class Student-Athlete Experience, the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina and bringing Value to Wake Forest, Winston-Salem and the Triad Communities, Athletics has many exciting, fun, safe and pragmatic enhancements planned for The Joel Coliseum for the 2023-24 season.

Student Information
Because of your outstanding dedication and commitment to our basketball program, your seats are now closer to the action! Student section seating has now expanded to the courtside area below section 124. Thirty seats will be available each game for students on a first-come, first-serve basis upon arrival. Student Section seating now includes all of section 124, 101, 102, and the upper section of 103.

The Spirit of the Old Gold and Black has also moved to the lower section of 103 to give more space and allow them to extend the drums and drumline to the floor.

Students sitting courtside must adhere to the courtside seating code of conduct.

Concessions
In the continued effort to provide the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina, Wake Forest Athletics announced its selection of national catering company Proof of the Pudding as its official concessions & catering partner. This innovative and experience-enhancing partnership will oversee all Athletics concessions and premium areas inside Allegacy Stadium, LJVM Coliseum, David F. Couch Ballpark and all other athletics venues.

As part of the new partnership, fans inside Wake Forest Athletics venues can look forward to superior game day experiences at Wake Forest through elevated food and beverage offerings, including grab-and-go concessions, a new point-of-sale system that is cashless to offer greater speed, local sourcing, from-scratch cooking for optimal taste and nutrition and creative customization to Wake Forest's brand.

Premium Updates
Coliseum luxury suites have received an upgrade with new countertops, carpet & paint, 55 or 65-inch 4K televisions, and electronic keypad locks. Half of the Coliseum's 18 suites were renovated prior to the start of the season; the remainder will be completed in the spring of 2024. The renovation coincides with the arena's new online suite rental platform SuitePro at ljvmcoliseumsuites.com, where guests can explore pricing and availability for concerts and other special events.

New for the 2023-24 basketball season, there will be a third row of courtside seats on the sideline opposite of the team benches. By adding this additional row, more fans will have the opportunity to sit on the court and enjoy Wake Forest basketball up close and personal with the game action within reach. In addition to the third row, new seats have also been brought in to add comfort and a better viewing position to the game experience for courtside fans.

To inquire about these seats or to purchase, please contact Jon Hoban at hobanj@wfu.edu.

Mobile Charging
LJVM Coliseum now has three chargeFUZE portable phone charging kiosks that allow guests to rent a portable mobile power bank that can be used anywhere and returned to any location on site. You can find them on the concourse across from sections 101 and 113, and in the Allegacy Club corridor. ChargeFUZE power-banks are built in to include charging cables for iOS, Android, and other devices.  To rent one, download the chargeFUZE app, ask a member of guest services, or simply scan the QR code on any chargeFUZE station.

Ticket Enhancements
All-In-1
Paciolan, Wake Forest's ticketing partner, has launched a new smart ticket experience called "ALL-IN-1" for the 2023-24 athletics year that started this fall at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium and will be available for LJVM this basketball season.

ALL-IN-1 is a smart ticket that will simplify your digital wallet by consolidating your entire sports season, series of performances, or set of shows into a single pass. Season ticket, mini plan, or series purchasers will now only have to download one mobile ticket per seat that will automatically update to the event in their plan. That means season ticket holders can download their mobile ticket once for the entire season and never worry about cellular connectivity at the gate again.

ALL-IN-1 tickets are available to download to your mobile wallet at GoDeacs.com/myaccount as any other mobile ticket would be. You can determine if a ticket is an ALL-IN-1 pass by the logo in the upper right hand corner of the pass.

You can learn more about the ALL-IN-1 pass here, or contact the Wake Forest ticket office at tix@wfu.edu for any questions you may have about your account.
