  • Women's Basketball: 
    • Representing Team USA in the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Demon Deacon alum Dearica Hamby helped the United States take home gold, knocking down the game winning shot in the gold medal game to cap off an impressive comeback victory over Brazil.
      • Hamby earned MVP honors, leading Team USA in scoring with 33 points while having a prominent impact on defense.
    • The Demon Deacons return home for a pair of games at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum after a close defeat at James Madison on Sunday.
      • Elise Williams tallied a team-high 13 points, shooting 6-of-10 from the floor. 
      • Additionally, Williams led the team with eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and a 60.0 shooting percentage.
      • She is the first Wake Forest player since Ivana Raca on Feb. 7, 2019 against Clemson to have 13 or more points, eight or more rebounds, four or more assists and three or more steals in a single game.
        • Williams is the only Wake Forest player in the HerHoopsStats era (2009-10) to have this statline or better on the road.
    • Wake Forest is set to take on Charlotte Thursday night at 6 p.m. at LJVM Coliseum. The game which is sponsored by Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist can also be seen on ACC Network Extra. The Deacs then close out the week Sunday with a home contest against Norfolk State. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. and airs on ACC Network Extra.
  • Track & Field/Cross Country: 
    • Wake Forest opened the 2023-24 indoor track & field campaign in impressive fashion with several top performances at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kickoff and the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
    • At the Visit Winston-Salem College Kickoff, the Demon Deacons swept the podium and placed three in the top seven of the women's shot put.
      • Shot Put
        • 1) Amanda Schaare, 15.26m
        • 2) Ashlyn Giles, 15.10m
        • 3) Casey Sullivan, 14.73m
        • 7) Isabella Gera 13.31m
    • Additionally, freshman Brooke Wilson clocked 15:59.35 en route to a top-three mark in Wake Forest history at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in the 5k.
    • Wake Forest will take a five-week hiatus before returning to competition at the Virginia Tech Invitational Jan. 12-13 in Blacksburg, Va.
  • Field Hockey:
    • Grace Delmotte, Nat Friedman and Mia Schoenbeck earned NFHCA South All-Region Second Team honors for the Demon Deacons announcement on Wednesday. 
      • Already named a First-Team All-ACC member for her efforts this past season, Friedman took home her third career NFHCA All-Region honor in 2023.
      • Delmotte, who was also named to the All-ACC team for the third time in her career, earns back-to-back NFHCA Second Team All-South Region honors.
      • Schoenbeck netted two goals and an assist to finish her freshman campaign with five points and was one of just two freshmen named to the NFHCA South All-Region Second team.
