Kevin Higgins Named General Manager of Wake Forest Football

Higgins will manage Wake Forest’s recruiting department, personnel evaluation and assist head coach Dave Clawson run all aspects of the Demon Deacons football program.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – While it was recently announced that Kevin Higgins will transition to an off-field leadership role on Dave Clawson's staff, he was officially named the General Manager of the Demon Deacons football program on Monday. 
 
Higgins, who has a combined 46 years coaching experience in high school, college and the NFL and was in the role of Associate Head Coach/Wide Receivers for the past nine years at Wake Forest, will oversee recruiting, personnel evaluation, and he will assist Coach Clawson run the football program. Additionally, he will be involved in Wake Forest's efforts related to Name, Image & Likeness.  
 
"As I shared in our announcement a few weeks ago, Kevin Higgins is one of my earliest mentors and dearest friends in the coaching profession and he has done an incredible job developing our student-athletes on and off the field over the past nine years at Wake Forest," Clawson said. "His role on our staff will be critical to the future success of Demon Deacons football and I look forward to seeing the impact his leadership will have on our staff and program overall as we move forward."
 
Wake Forest is set to open spring practice next month and the Demon Deacons will host their annual spring game inside Truist Field on April 15 at 2 p.m.
