24 Teams will make their way to Reynolda Campus for Wake Forest’s first outdoor home meet in over five years.
For the first time since March 24, 2018, the Wake Forest men's and women's track & field programs will host a meet on Reynolda Campus Friday, April 21 at Kentner Stadium.
One of the premier meets slated to take place on the East Coast heading into postseason action, the Wake Forest Invitational will provide an excellent opportunity for student-athletes from across the country to qualify for NCAA Regionals.
"I'm super excited about our meet on Friday," said director of track & field and cross country John Hayes. "We have some of the top runners and competitors on the East Coast coming in. We're hoping everyone can come join us for a day of fun and music, along with some great competition."
24 programs are expected to participate in the meet, including Big Four schools Duke, North Carolina and NC State. Competition is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Friday morning, while the last event is tentatively due to begin at 11 p.m.
Recognitions
Wake Forest's reigning Atlantic Coast Conference Champion men's cross country squad will be recognized during Friday's meet, along with the Demon Deacons' 1989 men's cross country team. Of note, 13 seniors from the Wake Forest men's and women's track & field teams will be recognized during Friday's meet for their time and dedication as Wake Forest student-athletes.
