Good Morning Demon Deacon Nation,

Amidst an incredible run by the No.1 Diamond Deacs in Omaha, the glow of the 10th national title in Wake Forest University history captured by our women's golf program and a pair of All-American performances at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, we pause for special news of the expansion of two longtime Demon Deacons partnerships.

First, as we announced earlier today in this press release, we have a new name for the home of the best football program in the state of North Carolina, Allegacy Stadium! This excellent video from our creative services staff highlights how this new multi-year commitment is deepening the historic partnership between Allegacy Federal Credit Union and Wake Forest University.
With this new agreement, Allegacy builds on their ongoing status as the official credit union of Wake Forest Basketball to become An Official Banking Partner of Wake Forest Athletics, the Exclusive Credit Union of Wake Forest Athletics, the Official Wealth Management Advisors of Wake Forest Athletics and the Exclusive Banking Partner of Wake Forest Football. Additionally, Allegacy will become Wake Forest's Preferred Student-Athlete Financial Education Provider, providing the availability of Allegacy financial experts to assist Wake Forest student-athletes with general financial matters and education.

For more than 20 years, Allegacy has partnered with the Wake Forest family to advance the community's wellbeing as our University and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital have been longtime members of Allegacy's Select Employee Group (SEG), offering employees the distinctive benefits of the credit union in strengthening financial wellbeing. Additionally, the Allegacy Center for Leadership and Character at Wake Forest's School of Business has helped develop future civic and corporate leaders.

From our first conversations about the expansion of the Allegacy partnership, I have been inspired by the evident passion of CEO Cathy J. Pace and her leadership team to build a stronger future for our community. As a longtime partner and trusted community supporter rooted in Winston-Salem, Allegacy is the perfect name to adorn the iconic home of Wake Forest football team. Allegacy and Wake Forest also share historic common ground in our community as our Reynolda Campus was originally part of the R.J. Reynolds estate, and Allegacy was created in 1967 as the Reynolds Carolina Credit Union to serve RJR employees with low-cost loans and financial education and services.

Everything that made us successful is based on radical collaboration and transformational relationships, which both elements were critical to this announcement today. Allegacy and Wake Forest continue to be aligned in mission, ideals and principles. With this ongoing partnership, we are each building on a proud legacy and a commitment to innovation in education and wellness as we each bring Value to Wake Forest, Winston-Salem and Triad Communities.

There will be a public press conference and celebration event tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 p.m. in the Snead Room at Bridger Field House at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium and everyone in our community is invited to attend. Fans are encouraged to park in the Gold Lot outside Bridger Field House. This event will include remarks from President Susan R. Wente, Ph.D., Allegacy President & CEO Cathy Pace, Head Coach Dave Clawson and yours truly.

We are proud of the jet engine power of Wake Forest football's brand that will broaden Allegacy's visibility among the 250,000 fans who attend Demon Deacons football games annually and other signature events at the stadium, as well as the nearly 20 million television viewers who watch the Demon Deacons football games each year.

And, earlier this week we announced a transformational agreement with Truist Bank. Truist's longtime partnership with Wake Forest Athletics now establishes Truist as a Presenting Partner of Wake Forest Women's Athletics

As I shared in Tuesday's press release, the Truist - Demon Deacons partnership is really about leveraging our strengths together to improve the lives of the members of our shared communities. For example, Truist will support and amplify Wake Forest Women's Athletics by establishing a more robust presence across all women's sports. The agreement follows incredible momentum from Wake Forest Athletics' 50th Anniversary of Women's Athletics that launched in the Summer of 2021 and has seen over 1,500 donors committing $17,700,000 toward women's athletics initiatives including creating over 25 new scholarship endowments in support of women student-athletes.

I appreciate the efforts and support of President Wente, our University leadership and the hard work of our Wake Forest Athletics staff to bring these transformational agreements to life. These partnerships and the support that will be provided to our students and University community are all part of how we provide a World Class Experience for the young men and women on our campus.
