Darrius Mazyck comes to Wake Forest following stints working at Texas Tech and Cincinnati over the past three seasons.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest women's basketball and head coach Megan Gebbia announced the addition of Darrius Mazyck as the Video Coordinator and Recruit Experience on Thursday.

In his role, he will be responsible for all digital archiving and filming of practice and game day video while also serving as a key member of game planning and recruiting.

"We are excited to have Darrius join our Wake Forest family," Gebbia said. "He has a lot of experience working as a video coordinator at a high level of women's basketball. He will be a tremendous addition to our culture and also help provide our student-athletes with more materials to be successful on and off the court. Darrius will also help us continue to improve our on-campus recruiting experience as we look to showcase all that this great university offers."

Prior to coming to Winston-Salem, Mazyck spent last season at Cincinnati as the Director of Video and was an Interim Assistant Coach for the Bearcats. His duties included being in charge of the copies of the playbook, coordinating on-campus recruiting visits, leading the opponent scouting process and implementing analytics to breakdown opponents and develop scouting reports.

Prior to being at Cincinnati, he was at Texas Tech for two seasons as a video coordinator during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 season.

Mazyck was responsible for practice and game day video, including clipping live game video for review immediately following games. He developed and produced all team highlight video and breaks down and edited all film, which included coding during games and fast stats.

While assisting coaches with all video scouting needs, he also acted as a liaison to Big 12 officials and turned in all game reports within 24 hours of each game.

Prior to arriving in Lubbock, Mazyck spent three seasons as a graduate manager for the Clemson women's basketball team. During his time at Clemson, he was responsible for a number of different areas, including team laundry, equipment, recruiting, and camps, while also assisting the team's video coordinator with day-to-day projects.

Mazyck graduated in 2018 from Clemson with a bachelor's degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism, before finishing his master's in athletic leadership from Clemson in 2020.

Mazyck is married to his wife, Shebratta.
