In the first year of the partnership with the ACC, the Demon Deacons will play on The CW for the first time and it will be the third overall league game on the national network.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – While the Demon Deacons have had a great week of practice as they are just one of 39 FBS programs to be undefeated through the first few weeks of the 2023 season, Coach Dave Clawson's program has been grinding this week as they prepare for their Atlantic Coast Conference opener on Saturday night against Georgia Tech.
The primetime contest on Saturday brings the Yellow Jackets to Winston-Salem for the first time since 2010, it is also significant as the game will be nationally televised on The CW.
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. and Saturday's game between Georgia Tech and Wake Forest marks the first time either program will be featured on this nationally-broadcast network.
Prior to the 2023-24 academic year, The CW Network announced it secured exclusive broadcast rights to 50 ACC college football and basketball games each season through 2026-27. Saturday's game inside Allegacy Stadium marks their third broadcast of the year.
In addition to 13 football games, The CW will broadcast 28 men's basketball games and nine women's basketball games. These games will be featured in December, January and February with men's basketball doubleheaders taking place every Saturday afternoon and women's basketball games on Sunday afternoons.
Wake Forest's longtime colleagues at Raycom Sports are the producers for all games for The CW.
