This is the first weekly award for a Wake Forest player since February 13, 2023.
CHARLOTTE- N.C. - Wake Forest guard Kevin Miller has earned Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week honors following the team's win against Miami over the weekend, announced by the conference office on Monday (Jan. 8).
This is the first ACC honor for the transfer guard, who also earned All-MAC conference honors in his two seasons at Central Michigan. Miller is the first Wake Forest player to receive the honor since Tyree Appleby on Feb. 13, 2023.
Miller led the Deacs in scoring in the weekend win over Miami (Jan. 6) with a career-high 27 points on 10-of-19 shooting and a perfect 3-of-3 from three-point range. He also added 17 points in the road win at Boston College (Jan. 2) on an efficient 7-of-9 clip from the field.
Saturday marked Miller's fourth performance of the season with 20 or more points, as the Chicago native is averaging 17.6 on the season. He leads the Deacs in assists with 4.1 per game and dished out seven at Boston College.
Miller is one of just two players in the ACC to be in the league's top 10 in scoring and assists. He also chips in 1.6 steals per game defensively.
Miller and the Deacs are back in action Tuesday night (Jan. 9) in Tallahassee. Tip against Florida State is set for 7 p.m. and the game will air live on ACC Network.
