- Women's Soccer:
- Behind a 78th-minute winner from junior forward Caiya Hanks, the No. 2-ranked Wake Forest women's soccer team notched its third-consecutive win with a 2-1 result at SMU Saturday night at Washburne Stadium.
- The Demon Deacons opened the scoring right out of the halftime break, as great team play set up senior midfielder Emily Colton in the box, who took a phenomenal touch to send a defender and fired it past the keeper for her sixth goal of the season.
- After the Mustangs equalized in the 56th minute, Wake Forest took the lead for good on Hanks' strike 22 minutes later.
- Wake Forest will now prepare for a road clash with Pitt on Thursday, Oct. 24 before returning home to host No. 1 Duke at Spry Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 27.

- Coming off a hard-fought overtime victory where freshman Lauren Storey scored the winner just 30 seconds into the extra period, the Deacs head to California this weekend for a pair of ACC matches.
- The Demon Deacons will first match up with Stanford on Friday evening before traveling over to Berkeley to face Cal on Sunday afternoon.
- Coming off a hard-fought overtime victory where freshman Lauren Storey scored the winner just 30 seconds into the extra period, the Deacs head to California this weekend for a pair of ACC matches.
- Volleyball:
- Wake Forest will continue road action for this weekend's upcoming slate, first traveling to Clemson to face the Tigers on Friday evening at 6 p.m.
- Sunday afternoon will see the Deacs match up with No. 17 Georgia Tech inside O'Keefe Gymnasium at 1 p.m.
- The match versus the Yellow Jackets will be Wake Forest's third outing versus a nationally-ranked opponent in fall 2024.

- The Deacons hold an 11-8 overall record and are 3-5 in conference play.
- This past weekend, the team traveled to Louisville and Notre Dame, notching a 3-0 match sweep over the latter.
- Sunday was Wake Forest's first win at Notre Dame since Oct. 18, 2015.

- Wake Forest has jumped back into the ACC's top five for blocks as a team, currently ranked fifth (2.63/set). Nationally, the Deacons rank 29th in their collective blocks-per-set average.

- At the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals, Angelina Perez (20:13.1) and Brooke Wilson (20:18.6) took 49th and 59th place out of 250 performers. It marked a new career-best for Perez.
- Last week's ACC Performer of the Week, Grace Wassell, garnered a personal-best finish of 21:14.2.
- The squad will now prepare for the ACC Championships taking place on Friday, Nov. 1 in Cary, N.C.
- At the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals, Angelina Perez (20:13.1) and Brooke Wilson (20:18.6) took 49th and 59th place out of 250 performers. It marked a new career-best for Perez.
- Women's Tennis:
- The Demon Deacons returned to their fall schedule over the past weekend, competing at the ITA Carolina Regional.
- Both the doubles teams of junior Nevena Carton and freshman Kady Tannenbaum, as well as graduate student Anna Zhang and junior Whitley Pate, advanced to the quarterfinals of the doubles bracket.
- In their run to the quarterfinals, Carton and Tannenbaum picked up a ranked win over No. 27 Hamner/Carnicella (South Carolina), 8-7 (9-7), in the Round of 32.
- In singles action, Anna Zhang advanced to the Round of 16 in the main draw, while four Demon Deacons advanced to at least the Round of 32.
- Both freshmen Brianna Baldi and Kady Tannenbaum advanced from the qualifying rounds to the main draw of the event, with Baldi picking up a ranked win over No. 86 Zampardo (NC State), 6-2, 4-6, 6-4, to advance to the Round of 32.
- Both Baldi and Tannenbaum are now a combined 10-2 in singles matches during fall competition.
