Wake Forest Athletics Unveil Men’s Basketball Conference Promotional Schedule
12/23/2024 10:00:00 AM | Men's Basketball
Fans will have nine more opportunities to join in the action inside LJVM Coliseum this winter.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Nearing the start of the New Year, Wake Forest men's basketball is primed for nine home showings within Atlantic Coast Conference play through the remainder of the 2024-25 regular season, as the Wake Forest Fan Experience team announced its ACC promotional schedule on Monday, Dec. 23.
Wake Forest Athletics is committed to providing The Best Fan Experience in North Carolina inside all of its venues while ensuring that all fans have a great time in a healthy and safe environment. Wake Forest University has implemented several gameday strategies, and safety protocols in place to ensure all fans have an enjoyable experience at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
A Big Four matchup with NC State kicks off the slate on January 4, presented by Allegacy Federal Credit Union. All fans are encouraged to Wear Black with the additional opportunity to be a Student for a Day – tickets can be purchased in the student section for a special rate. Eleven days later, the Deacs will host league newcomer Stanford (Jan. 15), presented by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. Student Appreciation Night will take place, including enter-to-win opportunities to begin the new semester.
A late stretch in January will be full of Tie-Dye, as the Deacs will host North Carolina (Jan. 21) and Duke (Jan. 25) in nationally televised contests. The Tar Heel tilt, presented by Truist, acts as Tie-Dye Vol. I, and includes a giveaway of tie-dye bucket hats for early arriving students. For the Saturday test versus Duke, presented by Allegacy Federal Credit Union, there will be limited edition tie-dye and black jerseys available for early arriving students.
Both of the Tie-Dye home showings against North Carolina and Duke are set to feature the return of the Screamin' Demon Fan Zone, set up at the northeast corner entrance/patio area of LJVM Coliseum. The space will feature music, a video wall and free food and non-alcoholic beverage options so students can fuel up before heading into the game. Each student will need their Screamin' Demon Rewards app and their Wake Forest Deacon OneCard to enter. Student tickets through SDR will be scanned upon entry. All individuals aged 21 and older must present an acceptable form of ID (e.g., valid driver's license, military ID, NC state ID, or passport) in order to consume alcohol in the student fan zone area.
Opening February, Wake Forest will take on Pitt during the first day of the month in its fast-paced DEACTOWN 500 game, presented by Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. Checkered flags will be available for early arriving students. The annual Baby Race also headlines the in-game entertainment for the halftime break, presented by Kaleideum. Registration information will be posted at a later date. Another midweek outing takes place on Feb. 12 when the Deacs bring the Florida State Seminoles to town. The Deacs' matchup with the Seminoles, presented by Pepsi, will serve as the Mental Health Awareness game in partnership with the university's "We are Wake" initiative.
Wrapping up February, Virginia will step in to face Wake Forest in a final midweek meeting (Feb. 26). A golf theme will take over The Joel, as the program hosts its first-ever Birdies & Basketball: Tee Off at Tip-Off, presented by Truist. A number of giveaway and enter-to-win opportunities will be on-site. Fans will be able to take their swings on a golf simulator set up on the concourse, and the season's final Win-It Wednesday for all fans makes up another feature of the contest.
On March 1, program alums will be honored for Reunion Weekend and Hall of Fame Weekend, presented by Harris Teeter. Recognition of both the 2025 Wake Forest Sports Hall of Fame, including the memory of former head coach Skip Prosser, and past men's basketball players will take place at the game. A week later, the Deacs will hold their Senior and Graduates Day prior to a matchup with Georgia Tech in the regular-season finale (March 8), presented by Strickland Brothers 10 Minute Oil Change.
All times are listed in ET. All promotions are subject to change.
