Wake Forest Men's Soccer Announces 2024 Spring Schedule

The Demon Deacons will compete in a six-match slate during the spring and host the finals of the Spring Soccer Cup at Spry Stadium on Sunday, April 14.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest men's soccer has announced its 2024 spring schedule, which features three matches at Spry Stadium including the finals of the Spring Soccer Cup on Sunday, April 14.
"We are looking forward to being back in action this spring, competing in six matches including three at Spry Stadium as this group of players continue their collective development ahead of the fall season," said head coach Bobby Muuss. "We will be closing out the spring once again with the Spring Soccer Cup finals here in Winston-Salem. It is a great and unique opportunity to see 10 elite college soccer programs compete in one location."
The Demon Deacons will begin the spring slate facing UNC Greensboro at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Bryan Park. During the 2022 season, the Spartans advanced to the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship quarterfinals.
The following week, Wake Forest will begin Spring Soccer Cup group place facing North Carolina on Saturday, March 2 in Chapel Hill. During the 2023 season, the Demon Deacons and Tar Heels met twice at Spry Stadium with Wake Forest claiming a 1-0 victory in the program's annual Genna Wiley Memorial Match.
On Friday, March 8, Wake Forest will face Canadian club Erin Mills before returning to Spring Soccer Cp action on Saturday, March 23 to host 2019 NCAA Champion and the reigning four-time BIG EAST regular season champions Georgetown at Spry Stadium.
Wake Forest's final road match of the spring season will take place on Saturday, April 4, as the Deacs will face Pitt at Highmark Stadium, the home of the USL Championship's Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
The Deacs will conclude the slate hosting the Spring Soccer Cup finals on Sunday, April, 14. An annual showcase of some of the country's elite programs, Wake Forest will be joined by Clemson, Georgetown, Pitt, Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Maryland for the final event of the Spring Soccer Cup.
