
Ivan Mora Named to 2024 Ray Guy Award Preseason Watchlist

The 2024 watch list was compiled based on the 2023 Ray Guy Award Semifinalist List, the top ten NCAA Punters from 2023, the 2023 All-Conference teams, the 2023 All-American Teams, the 2024 pre-season All-Conference Teams, and eligible punters on the 2023 watchlist.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest football redshirt senior punter Ivan Mora was named to the Ray Guy Award Preseason Watchlist, as announced by the Augusta Sports Council on Friday afternoon.
The honor marks the fourth-straight season on the watchlist for the Dalton, Georgia product.
Mora finished the 2023 season with 58 punts for 2,410 yards (34.1 average) with 18 punts inside the 20 yard line and nine punts of 50 or more yards.
He hammered a 64-yard punt against Florida State and averaged 48.9 yards-per-punt with a season-long 440 yards punted against the Seminoles.
Over the course of his career, Mora has averaged over 40 yards per punt at 41.72 Yards/Punt and 55 kicks downed inside the 20 yard line. He ranks sixth in program history in punting average while also having 37 punts of 50 or more yards, the fifth highest total in Wake Forest history.

The Augusta Sports Council created the Ray Guy Award in 2000 to honor Thomson, Georgia native and College and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Ray Guy. Among the statistics used to identify the winner are net punting average, number of times punt is downed or kicked out of bounds inside the opponents 20-yard line, total yardage punted, average returned yardage and percentage of punts not returned with particular emphasis placed on net punting average. The winner must display team leadership, self-discipline, and have a positive impact on the team's success.
