  • Women's Soccer: 
    • The Demon Deacons closed out the non-conference slate with a pair of victories over Villanova (1-0) and UNC Asheville (5-0).
    • Against the Bulldogs, senior standout Emily Colton logged two goals and an assist as she brought her points tally to a team-high six on the season.
    • Senior Anna Swanson also recorded a brace against UNC Asheville, marking the first time since Oct. 10, 2021 that multiple Demon Deacons recorded a brace in the same game. 
      • Of note, Sophia Rossi and Shayla Smart were the last duo to accomplish the feat, as they did so against Virginia Tech.
    • With Sunday's win, Wake Forest extended its unbeaten stretch at home to 12 games and now holds a 14-2-5 record at home since the start of 2022.
    • Wake Forest will now prepare for the ACC opener against Big Four rival North Carolina on the road this Thursday.
      • The match is slated for 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on ACCNX. 
  • Field Hockey: 
    • Wake Forest continues the non-conference portion of the schedule with a pair of matches this weekend, including Camper Reunion Day on Sunday against VCU at 1 p.m.
    • The Deacs head west to Boone for a Friday night matchup with App State at 6 p.m.
      • The match will be streamed live on Twitch for fans to tune-in. 
    • Returning home to close the weekend, Wake Forest will battle VCU at 1 p.m. from Kentner Stadium. 
      • Participants from this summer's camps will be able to participate in postgame autographs and will receive free autograph posters to be signed by their favorite Demon Deacons. 
      • Fans can tune in live to ACCNX for all the action. 
  • Volleyball: 
    • The Deacs stand at 3-3 overall early in the season, coming off an appearance in Iowa State's 2024 Cyclone Invite.
      • Newcomer middle blocker Tina Grkovic was named to the All-Tournament Team for her efforts, totaling 22 kills, 11 blocks and six service aces through three contests.
        • Through the first two completed weeks of the season, Grkovic stands eighth among Atlantic Coast Conference individuals in blocks-per-set average (1.25).
    • In a victory over Toledo this past Saturday (Sept. 7), head coach Randi Smart notched her 200th career win while junior libero Emma Farrell reached over 1,000 career digs.
      • Farrell became the 12th player in program history to achieve such a feat.
    • Wake Forest enters South Carolina's hosted invitational this weekend (Sept. 13-15), beginning with a Friday showing versus Florida International at 10 a.m. The Deacons will also match up with Stetson University and the host Gamecocks on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
  • Track & Field/Cross Country: 
    • The Wake Forest women's cross country squad will open its season this Friday in Boone, N.C. as it competes in The Fire Tower Project.
    • The Deacs bring back rising sophomore Brooke Wilson, who had a stellar freshman campaign as she became the first Demon Deacon since 2019 to earn All-ACC honors after her 18th-placed finish at the ACC Championships last season.
    • In addition to Wilson, three other athletes that competed in the ACC Championships last fall return for 2024 with Alli Boehm, Alyssa Preisano and Leigh Walters.
    • Emma Douglass also returns for Wake Forest. She was named ACC Performer of the Week after her first race of the 2023 campaign at the Royals XC Challenge.
