WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Excitement is building in DEACTOWN as both the men's and women's golf teams prepare to host their Reunion Weekend on Nov. 8-10. The men's golf team will also be hosting a 50th anniversary celebration of the back-to-back 1974 and '75 NCAA Championship teams.

That weekend will feature athletics facility tours and an alumni tailgate ahead of the Wake Forest football game versus California on Friday night. There will also be a 'Putts & Pancakes' brunch on Saturday morning that is hosted and run by Wake Forest Sports Properties partner, Roll The Quad. For more information on that event, click here.

On Friday, Nov. 8 when the Wake Forest football team hosts Cal inside Allegacy Stadium at 8 p.m. on ACC Network, there will be a special on-field recognition of the current men's golf team and the 1974-75 title teams.

Men's Golf Program Overview
After being just two strokes short of the top-15 cutline of for their 48th NCAA Championship appearance in program history, the Deacs will return with a veteran lineup along with some new faces this season. This marked the 13th NCAA Championship appearance under the direction of head coach Jerry Haas including the fourth in the last five years. Over his 25-plus years in Winston-Salem, the Demon Deacons have won over 40 times as a team including four NCAA Regionals and the 2022 ACC Championship.

Haas and the Deacs look to be competitive again on the national level this season. Going into the year, the team received votes in the 2024-25 Preseason Bushnell/Golfweek DI Coaches Poll.

Competing against an elite field including multiple teams that made last season's NCAA Championship, the Wake Forest men's golf team ended the Inverness Intercollegiate in eighth place with a final score of 850 (+22), finishing ahead of Power-4 schools Louisville, Clemson, Purdue and Michigan in the first event of the season.

In his first outing as a Demon Deacon, newcomer Jakob Melin ended round three as the top Deac on the individual leaderboard at T28. After a bogey free front nine in round three, Melin maintained composure throughout his final round to keep his spot on the leaderboard.

The Deacs are set to host the inaugural Lyon's Links College Invitational (This week) in Dublin, Ireland. With Wake Forest as the official hosts at one of Ireland's most historic Championship Links, it promises to be a spectacular event. The first of its kind event featuring six-man teams but facilitates colleges to bring additional players to compete individually. This is the first known collegiate event on Irish soil as the experience brings the college game to the original roots of the game.

Women's Golf Program Overview
