Linebacker Justin Strnad’s incredible performance against the New York Jets highlights another stellar week of Pro Deacs.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Pro Deacs continued to shine during week six of the 2025 NFL season, highlighted by an incredible performance by Justin Strnad in London, Jessie Bates III aiding in an upset win in prime time and two Demon Deacons making their return to the field after recovering from injuries.

Strnad Shines in London
Linebacker Justin Strnad shined on Sunday morning as he and the rest of the defense for the Denver Broncos put together an incredibly dominant performance in their 13-11 victory over the New York Jets in London. Strnad totaled six tackles with two solo efforts and 1.5 sacks as the Bronco defense recorded nine sacks while holding the Jets to -10 total passing yards for the game. As a result, Strnad earned an 80.5 defensive grade by PFF, as well as a team-best 89.9 pass rush grade.

With his 1.5 sack performance across the pond, Strnad has now set a new career high with 3.5 sacks this season. Through the first six games, Strnad, who set numerous career highs during his breakout season in 2024, has recorded 25 total tackles with eight solo tackles, a pass defense and an additional 2.5 tackles for loss to go along with his sack numbers.

Bates Aids in Upset Victory on Monday Night Football
Safety Jessie Bates III and the Atlanta Falcons pulled off a major upset on Monday Night Football as they defeated the Buffalo Bills, 24-14. Bates recorded five tackles with three solo efforts as the Falcon defense allowed only 291 yards of total offense and limited last season's MVP, Josh Allen, to 180 passing yards while forcing two interceptions. Bates has now tallied 24 tackles on the season, which includes 10 solo tackles.

Tom Returns in Packers Win Over Cleveland
After missing some time due to injury, offensive lineman Zach Tom returned to the field this past week to help the Green Bay Packers secure a 27-18 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Tom played 61 snaps against the Bengals as he helped the Green Bay offense record over 400 yards of total offense, including 153 yards on the ground. As a result, Tom earned a 75.5 offense rating by PFF on Sunday.

Mustapha Makes Season Debut Against Tampa Bay
Safety Malik Mustapha made his first appearance of the season as he and the San Francisco 49ers faced off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Mustapha, who missed the first four five games due to an injury, recorded two tackles with one solo effort on Sunday afternoon.

During his debut season for the 49ers, Mustapha totaled 72 total tackles, including 32 solo tackles and two tackles for loss, as well as five pass breakups and an interception.
